WINTER 2021...

Yesterday we had some rain and Sleet in our area.

It was 35*

Christmas Day it's supposed to be 80*

.

This little dresser belonged to Grandma Posey.

She always had a runner on it and a few personal items.

Momma had started stripping it several years ago.

It was just one of the items that holds so many memories for me.

So I was very happy to be able to finish up this project and

continue using it once again.

I have tried to figure out how old it might be

I was thinking 1930's. It's called "Tiger Oak".

It has the original wheels and

the mirror swivels and is beveled and

it was cut by chipping away the edges.

Momma said it may be older because

they got most everything 2nd hand.

I love planting Pansy's in the winter.

As long as you keep them watered they

will survive freezing temperatures and bloom

all the way till next Spring.

Simple decorations this year.

and a look at next years outside project...

redo the front porch and walk-way.

May you each have a
"Very Merry Christmas"

Bathroom Remodel Finished...

Just a hint... before drilling holes for your knobs I would recommend laying them out side by side to make sure you drill in the right place.  But dowel rods do make good hole fillers.

We also did some updating to "Bella" our 5th Wheel.

Added light weight bead board.

removed the valance and mini-blinds.   Put up rods and blackout curtains.
Also recovered the sofa.  Had to order the Loveseat size which fit the couch perfectly but the cushion cover only fit two cushions so cut it in half and extended it.

also removed the valances and mini blinds from these windows.  More rods and Blackout curtains.

After getting the bathroom finished we cleaned out the Guest (Granddaughters) room and rearranged the bunk beds.

We said a final GoodBye to Lillie on June 10th. She was 12.
After 51 years of having a dog, she will be our last one.
I will miss that unconditional Love, but life goes on.

Bathroom, Garden Update...

We got the sink base set in, went to put the stool in and discovered it had a crack in the front of the base.  So we purchased a new sleek sided one.

Daisy's are growing like crazy and finally have blooms...

Some green tomatoes. I planted Early Girl.

Have pulled a few turnips. We grilled them with a little salt, pepper and garlic seasoning.

Lots of blooms on the zucchini but no fruit yet.

Lillie had seven mini-strokes a couple weeks ago and by the time we figured out it was from a mix up with her medication...she has gone mostly blind.  So I read up about it and she gets around the house really well but so she can keep track of us we are now wearing bells. I made an anklet and Kenneth wears a bell clipped to his clothes. They sound different so she can tell us apart.
