Ladies Luncheon...

Amanda's church had a Ladies Luncheon Saturday,

 where they each decorated a table for their invited guests. 

 Some very talented ladies.  As you can tell by the tables. 

 The Speaker was wonderful and sang beautifully.  It was a really nice time.

I've made two more scarves at work this week...

While I was working on this brown one my co-worker went downstairs to a craft fair

and bought one for $15.00!

I might have to see how many I can get done, and maybe next year try setting up a booth?

Christmas Party...

we were tracking the weather over the weekend, got all prepared for the ice....

but luckily we didn't get any it all stayed north of us...

so we were able to attend the Christmas Party...

Kenneth won a gift card...

Update...

I finished up my first "Sashay" yarn scarf...

Not a very good self photo, I finished it at work. I'm starting another one today.

Yesterday i was up at 5:00am, got my gored panel skirt completed, just need to do the hem.

I ended up being able to get 12 panels, connected them with "french seams"

because the material frayed really bad. The top is from an old pair of pants.

I got boots!!!

I have never had any before...and they fit!

Dusty was NOT impressed.

Somebody got into the markers...

(they are washable)

Amanda and Charles are getting 8-9 eggs a day now.

Here's one of the first blue ones. They are layed by the Americaunas.

My next "Pinterest" inspired project.

The window seat next to the fireplace. Except ours will have bead board across the front.

So it will be enclosed and match the fireplace. Just not sure if I will go dark stain or light.

The fireplace mantle will have a similar look and be the same stain.

Merry Christmas...

Yesterday we got a new roof on the house...  Here's the tear off...

It was really foggy...

they found one bad spot and Kenneth replaced the fascia board.

now all we need is a big giant red bow to put on it... and all done.

We had them add a vented ridge row...


Today it was 82* so we're hoping that was enough to get them to stick good, because tomorrow there predicting an ice storm.

It's Officially FALL...

there was frost on the pumpkin this morning...

and all the leaves are falling...

We are THANKFUL...

for Family... near and far...

we started working on the house again, 

so we're thankful for the abilities God gives us...

covered the fireplace,

added bead board and shelves on either side...

I had today off, so finished up my flannel pajama pants by adding the elastic to the waist,

(I started these two years ago)...

added rick-rack to the 1st of four dishtowels I'm embroidering...

(I learned from my mom that my stitches were only supposed to be "three" threads wide, so

if you look closely you'll notice the vines are much better.)

started on the 2nd one...

added butterfly buttons to the girls aprons, 

so they can tell them apart (Emily - pink, Leah - blue, Megan - yellow)

also this week I watched a You tube video on how to crotchet these scarves, very simple...

the materiel underneath is going to be a new gored skirt.

I think I can get 8 panels...

ham is cooked, pies in the oven, the family is gathering around the table.

time for grace... God Bless
