2015 Garden...

In the back yard this year I planted Sun flowers and morning glories...
we also feed the birds sunflower seeds...
this sunflower and the one below are from where the bird-feeder is, this sunflower is 7 FEET tall!  Just beautiful.

Next year I'm just going to plant the bird seed...

This one is about 4' with multiple blooms...

the lace hydrangea in the back.

the 4 o'clock from Oklahoma

here are my sunflowers...I bought special seeds this year to be able to grow GIANT 12" Sunflowers, But, as you can see, even though they are pretty they weren't GIANT.

Two yellow roses and some marigolds, these are 36" tall.

our red onions... Hello Lilly, there is Sue over on the patio (to the right) and MoMo was here visiting too (on the left)

The south bed in the front, Daylillies and Lantana are blooming...

Looking North...

On the end bed I started some Lavender...

and we have okra...

Some of the Perennial seeds I started in the clay pots and then have finished transplanting all of them.

Some more sunflowers which I started in the back and thinned out and moved some to this front yard bed.

three different varieties of cherry tomatoes, we went out and tried to corral them a little, they have just gone crazy this year, and more marigolds, these are about 24" tall. (the marigolds were all started from 10 cent seed packets from WalMart)

there's yellow summer squash in the middle beds...

this hydrangea makes the BIG ball blossoms...

Looking South...

***Just a note...we started redoing the front of the house Spring of 2004.
I can now say that it's finally done.  Even though it requires constant weeding, this is what I had envisioned all those years ago.  With just a few tweaks here and there.  I think it turned out even better.

This is my big cauldron I brought home from Momma's our last trip, It will always remind me of someone special.

Kenneth and I were both watching the plum tree this year we had 4 perfect plums, what we didn't realize was the birds were watching them also.  We only ended up with one.

I redid our headboard with a quick fix by just covering it up with a quilted bedspread we weren't using.  Now I need to make a new top top for the spread on the bed...  I think I'll just do a quick simple cover with an extra sheet or something to make it one color.

Busy, busy, busy...

We all went to Oklahoma in May to build a new deck for Momma...
Here is just one of the sunsets from that visit.  We had rain, hail and some storms... but finished it up with  excellent results.

Clark and Kenneth worked two days on building the base and steps...

Then he and I finished up the rails...Kenneth also used one of the extra 4X4 to fasten her garden hoses to.

Us with the "kids"...

We came back home and got right in to finishing up the "Guest" Bedroom...
Kenneth pulled the carpet and we put down floating floor.
I really like the way these turn out.

Put in a 4' X 8' chalkboard

built a Loft bed (twin) and raised the full bed from off the floor...
Now its easier for adults to get in the bed.
Added new curtain.

the play kitchen is still here...

a few decorations...

added a tree to the wall where the crafting table is...
Yes, I wrote on the wall...but I'm the only one who's allowed!

there is a ladder but we removed it to take it out and finish staining it.

each bed has its own night light...

and for Father's Day we replaced the ceiling fan in the living room to go more with the new color scheme... Brushed Nickle instead of brass.  It's also a ceiling huggar so people won't hit their heads.

We have also been getting squash, okra and cherry tomatoes from the garden.

March, April, May 2015

Sorry I haven't posted much lately, but we have been busy... WARNING...this post is very long and has lots of photos.

We attended a wedding in Jefferson, Texas...
Love the buildings, there were carriage rides, flowers and turtles in the fountain.

his ring looked like a tire...

Next are some garden pictures...
the daffodils,
we planted in the front beds this year,
three different types of cherry tomatoes,
summer squash and okra

we planted 50 bulbs all over the front and back.

looking North...

looking south...

I also planted flower seeds in each of the pots...

In back we have red onions and lettuce.

sun flowers and morning glories...

Chocolate mint...

hydrangea...

South bed...

everything is blooming and growing...

we also got back to redoing the guest room...

Kenneth scraped the popcorn ceiling and touched up the mud,
then we primed it white... no more pink.

We're adding blue...

to the ceiling...

and some glitter paint and glow in the dark stars...

there will also be a 4' X 8' chalkboard wall.

We built a twin loft bed to add extra sleeping space and have new roll out flooring to put in.
Needless to say, the girls are getting very impatient and can't wait to be able to sleep over again.

I also am making me a new quilted purse.

I got the pattern offline...

Just a little more stitching and it's ready for travel.
