The Agrarian Life...

I am not sure of all the things which they believe in, but it is very interesting to read about their journey. Go through the reading list on the right hand side of "Lentils and Rice" to learn more. Another site is "Granny Miller" she discusses a new law I was unaware of which begins February 10, 2009. For those who sell second hand childrens clothes...check it out here. She also has some excellent gardening tips.

It begins...

We went to Wal Mart Saturday and they had ...broccoli, cabbage, Brussel sprouts onion sets...all the early planting items.

So we got some Texas onion sets and came home and I planted them and the Snap peas I had saved from last year I never got planted. I mentioned at work that I had planted them and everyone was "isn't it too early for planting?"

I said "well Wal Mart has there plants for sale so I thought it was OK." one of the guys replied "Yeah, but Wal Mart starts selling Christmas in September now!" So I guess we'll see how things do. I plan on covering the onion sets on nights its going to be below freezing. I hope they do well.
