Sunflower update

When we came back from vacation the sunflowers were pretty much finished...so we cut off the heads and I wove them into the fence to dry. The rest we put over on the burn pile. We ended up cleaning out the whole first garden bed, cucumber, zucchini, corn and green beans were all removed, and the bed cleaned up for our next fall plantings. Just this week the birds (Cardinals and Blue Jays) have discovered the dried sunflower heads. This is why I grew sunflowers....

I had to take these pictures through the kitchen window because every time I stepped outside to try and catch them they would all fly away. I hope you enjoyed them also.
