One thing I am learning about using coupons is you have to watch the clerk when they are ringing you up. Make sure that the sale prices are showing up during check-out, don't wait until you've left the store to discover an error, and if you have a bunch of coupons hand only a few at a time to the clerk to make sure you get credit for all of them. I lost at least $10.00 this week alone because of these two things. Another thing when using your reusable bags, especially at WalMart place them on the round bagger for the clerk so they can fill them for you. Check with your grocery stores and see if they are giving you credit for using your own bags, Albertson's and Brookshire's now gives you $.05 for each bag you use.
