every year since we've lived here we've had Barn Swallows nesting in the front porch and in the carport. This year we only had two pair return to nest. This is one set of babies, I think there are five,
unfortunately the day I took this picture was very hot and humid with little breeze and the next day we found four of the babies dead on the porch. Probably heat exhaustion. So there's only one left. Some people would say they are bad because they make such a mess under the nest areas, but I like to listen to them.
When I went out to water Sunday we had a visitor. I tried to get a picture of the web, very pretty and detailed. I didn't bother him/her just watered around and the next day it was gone.
